Cover illustration to represent a sustainable, fossil-free future for the fashion industry

Stand.earth was looking for assistance with creating the cover illustration for the Fossil-Free Fashion Scorecard website and report. They wanted a unique way to represent a fossil-free future while taking inspiration from the fashion world, to convey the key message that the sector needs to redesign their business model to create a sustainable industry.

My illustration concept was to showcase fashion that was inspired by renewable energy itself—solar panels creating a bomber-style jacket, and wind turbines forming the structure of a dress. I focused on creating the "blueprint" sketches on the top alongside tailoring tools and gadgets, and illustrated a cityscape below, connecting the renewable energy in the clothing above with the environment below.
